The Leather Dog Collars shown on this page are hand crafted using premium bridle leather that has a consistent grain and thickness, instead of cheap bonded or reconstituted leather, so that each dog collar is hard wearing, strong and water repellent.
Each leather dog collar is tanned with natural oils and waxes, the way all collars use to be manufactured, to help the leather remain soft, supple and improve long term durability, when cold these natural oils will sometimes appear on the surface of the leather dog collar as a white wax like residue, that can easily be removed with a clean, soft cloth.
The natural oils used in the tanning process, will help keep each leather dog collar from becoming dry and brittle, acting like a moisturizer providing a water repellent barrier that should help prevent damage occurring to the dog collar, such as splitting and cracking caused by folding or from being exposed to varying outside weather conditions.
The leather collars are sewn, instead of riveted for extra strength and have heavy gauge buckles and D-rings, to compliment the smooth texture and feel of the dog collar, that are available to purchase in ten collar sizes, from 12 to 30 inches, in three traditional colour choices, black, red and tan!
Leather is a Natural material which has a number of benefits, it looks wonderful, is strong and water repellant. However if your dog is guilty of constantly chewing or enjoys swimming, it is advisable to purchase a synthetic fibre such as nylon for both your collar & lead, which are also available on this website. There are many leather collars and leads on the market, but not all of them are made to the same high quality.
The leather dog collars are available in 10 sizes, the measuring table below will help you choose which dog collar will fit your dog's neck size, but please ensure that you measure your dog's neck correctly and leave approximately 3cm of breathing space:
