Round Leather Dog Collars are traditional collars that were created for workings dogs, but are suitable for all breeds, especially those breeds with long furry coats, as the collar does not flatten the coat, making them suitable for breeders who show dogs and owners too!
The round leather dog collars we sell on the website are made from the finest quality bridle leather that have a consistent grain and thickness, that are sewn instead of being riveted for long term durability, with heavy gauge buckles and d rings, making them ideal for working dogs.
Each round leather dog collar has a reinforced nylon core for added strength and shape retention, that is tanned with 100% natural fats, which help the collar remain supple, smooth to the touch and improve with age.
The natural fat oils used in the tanning process will keep the round leather collar from becoming dry and brittle, provide a excellent water barrier and help prevent damage to the collar occurring from cracking or splitting caused by folding the collar or the outside elements, which could result in the collar needing to be replaced after a short period of time!
Leather is a Natural material which has a number of benefits, it looks wonderful, is strong and water repellant. However if your dog is guilty of constantly chewing or enjoys swimming, it is advisable to purchase a synthetic fibre such as nylon for both your collar and lead, which are also available on this website. There are many leather collars and leads on the market, but not all of them are made to the same high quality.
The round leather dog collars are available in 6 sizes, the measuring guide below will help you choose which collar will fit your dog's neck size comfortably, but please ensure that you measure your dog's neck correctly and leave approximately 3cm of breathing space:
