Burns Alert Chicken & Brown Rice Dog Food contains a minimum of 20% chicken and does not contain any battery farmed meat. Burns Alert has been formulated to meet the demands of a working dog where mental alertness is required and low or moderate physical activity is the norm.
For instance most working dogs used by the police, military or farmers have prolonged periods of reduced physical activity, punctuated by short episodes of vigorous activity, for them a low energy diet is more suitable.
Burns Alert is very similar to the normal burns chicken & brown rice dog food, with 18.5% protein and is Vat Free, with a few additional supplements such as Green Tea Extract, Grapeseed Extract & Fish Oil to improve alertness!

| My dog loves Burns, we rescued our dog about a year ago and were recommended to feed him Burns. We've kept him on it ever since and its been great. He looks really healthy and it fills him up well. I've always fed the normal vat included Burns food at around £44 a bag, which to be honest sounds expensive but because of the quality the portions sizes are around half the size of cheaper food. I haven't tried the Vat excempt Burns yet but from the what I can see there isn't much difference in the ingredients and at £17.00 cheaper a bag I think its fantastic value. |
| I have fed my Springers and German Shepherds on Burns dry food for the last 8 years and have never had any skin, digestive or behavioural problems since. I have always bought the Lamb and Rice or Chicken and Rice but was very chuffed to be able to save the VAT by feeding Canine Alert. I would recommend Burns to Dog owners who want to 'keep it natural' for their dogs diet too and there is much less waste to clear up! an allround fab product. |
| I bought the Burns alert in the Lamb and Rice before. I had always had the normal burns but this was so much cheaper. I haven't noticed any difference. Thought my dog would be hyper but no more than usual being a welsh springer. I would buy another bag at this price. In fact I will buy two like I did last time. Fantastic service from Valu Pet as well. |
