Red Mite Powder for Chickens is an effective insect repellent for amateur use against Red Mite, also known as Chicken Mite, Roost Mite and Poultry Mite by directly applying the powder to your chickens. Red Mite Powder is suitable for both organic and intensive farming.

Carefully examine the chickens and their housing for mites, that appear as tiny red to blackish dots. Often mites are found in clusters, under loose clods of litter, under slats, in nesting boxes or in cracks and crevices in the chicken's housing. Please note red mite powder does NOT taint eggs.

Red Mites are nocturnal creatures and for this reason it is advisable to apply the powder to your chickens just before they go to sleep. Thoroughly dust your chickens with the powder avoiding their eyes.

Repeat the application of the powder approximately 5 to 6 weeks later, depending on the level of infestation. Apply approximately 10g of powder per fully grown chicken. Please note that red mite can live away from your chickens for up to 36 weeks.
