Royal Canin Adult Maxi 26 Dog Food has been formulated specifically to suit the nutritional requirements of maxi adult breeds, for example popular breeds such as german shepherd, boxer, doberman, golden retriever, old english sheep dog, giant schnauzer, german and english pointers.

Royal canin adult maxi has been developed for breeds that weigh between 26kg to 45kg, that can be fed on the dog food from 15 months to 5 years of age, when royal canin suggests you change to maxi mature. Like many premium dog foods each maxi recipe regardless of variety contains prebiotics to help support the digestive system, as large breeds in particular are prone to sensitive digestion, that's why each royal canin maxi variety only contains meat from animals declared fit for human consumption!

Due to the weight of maxi breeds, they are susceptible to joint and bone problems, from wear and tear consequently all royal canin maxi varieties contain glucosamine and chondroitin to help support the mobility of your dog to keep them fit and healthy.

Regardless of lifestage variety all royal canin maxi dog foods contain highly digestible forms of protein, that are 90% digestible and easily metabolised by the body, reducing the amount of undigested remains reaching the colon, that can increase fermentation and result in smelly stools, diarrhoea or flatulence if large quantities of protein is left undigested!
