- Currency: All prices on this site are quoted in pounds sterling.
- Value Added Tax(VAT): All prices shown are inclusive of VAT. The final payment amount shown
on the payments page is inclusive of any UK tax due, including VAT & Carriage Charges.
- Carriage Charges: The final price quoted on the payments page is the price of the goods
including delivery to the stated destination. These charges include carriage by registered
post by Royal Mail and Courier. We reserve the right to select an alternative carrier
entirely at our own discretion, as appropriate to the particular delivery circumstances.
Delivery Terms:
- We aim to deliver all orders sent by courier within 3 working days. All orders that weight
less than 1.5kg are sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and should arrive within 5 working days
approximately. If an item is out of stock, we will contact you immediately by email or phone
and arrange a full refund if necessary.
Please note a signature will be required to accept your order!
Delivery Cost Structure is Shown Below:
1) Delivery is free over £25.00 or low cost at £1.50 for orders below £25.00
in the Bicester area. Deliveries to the Bicester area are delivered by us
between 5pm - 8.30pm, 7 Days a Week, when your back from work.
2) Deliveries outside Bicester incur carriage charges below:
60g - 150g = £1.75
151g - 350g = £2.25
351g - 500g = £2.75
501g - 750g = £3.45
751g - 1kg = £4.75
1.01kg - 1.25kg = £5.75
1.26kg - 1.5kg = £6.75

- Damage & Loss in Transit: Sometimes, unfortunately, things get lost or damaged in transit.
If this happens to your order, please advise us and we will supply a replacement as quickly
as we can. However, since we never knowingly ship damage goods, we need your help to recover
our costs from the carrier wherever possible. If you do receive damaged goods, please retain
all relevant documentation so that an insurance claim can be made against the carrier's insurers.
If you receive a damaged parcel, note the fact on the delivery note, even before you open the
parcel to examine the contents. If you are unable to open the damage package in the presence of
the carrier, make sure you sign for it as "Damaged package; goods not yet inspected" or similar
to warn the carrier that a claim may be forthcoming. Whatever the circumstances, please contact
us by email or telephone with as much detail of the damage or loss as you can provide, soon after
delivery, so that we can arrange a replacement and contact the carriers.
- Quality of Goods/Fitness for Purpose: The goods we supply are original manufacturer's stock, suitable for
the purposes described on this website and in the manufacturer's literature, provided the goods are used
in accordance with any instructions supplied and in accordance with good normal practice.
- Returns, Refunds and Cancellation: Goods which are returned under complaint or exchange, should be returned
to us registered post paid. If the claim is supported, we will refund monies paid for return transport.
We appreciate that sometimes, purchases are made as gifts, which may prove to be unsuitable. In these
circumstances, we will happily arrange a credit or refund of the full purchase price paid for the goods,
once we have examined the returned goods, but the carriage costs cannot be refunded. Please note that refunds
will normally be made using the same method as the original payment. In all cases we will endeavour to make
any refunds within five working days on receipt of the returned goods. UK customers are advised that the EU
Directive on Distance Selling as incorporated into UK law by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling)
Regulations 2000 requires the provision of a consumer's right to cancel a contract, without giving a reason,
within 7 days of receipt of the goods, which we are required to point out, as this is your minimum legal right.
You should also be aware that this Act requires that returned goods are in merchantable condition and that any
seals for instance on containers of products remain unbroken.
- Payment & Retention of Title: Under normal circumstances, goods must be paid for prior to dispatch, unless you
are a regular or local customer in the Bicester area, who requires an item usually in stock, not a special order
only product. If, for any reason, goods are shipped prior to clearance of payments, title of the goods remains
with Valu-Direct Pet Supplies until payment in full for the goods is received by us.
- Confidentiality (Privacy): Information is collected on this website only during the order placement process and
solely for the purpose of allowing us to complete the supply of the requested goods and to keep you informed of
the progress of your order and developments of the site. Information supplied to us by customers is STRICTLY
CONFIDENTIAL and is NOT SUPPLIED to third parties. Please note that our basket system uses a "Cookie" stored
temporarily on your machine to retain the basket content. When you leave the store by the normal exit route,
this cookie is erased. You are also given the option to retain your customer details in a cookie on your machine
at your discretion, to eliminate the need to re-enter these details, if you purchase again from our store at
a later date.
- Complaints Procedure: In any cases where you wish to notify us that our service fails to meet acceptable standards
or if you raise any other queries under the paragraphs above, or indeed for any other reason, then we request you
do so initially by email in the interest of expediting a response. We aim to respond to any such emails within
24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
- Applicable Law and Courts of Jurisdiction: All transactions undertaken through this website are governed by English
Law and any legal actions arising out of such transactions shall be subject to the English legal process and under
the jurisdiction of English Courts.
