Antos Split Antlers for Dogs - Large

Split Antlers are basically deer antlers that have been cut in half lengthways, to expose the delicious honeycomb bone structure inside, that's softer and similar to bone marrow, making half or split antlers easier to chew than whole antlers and ideal for older dogs, lazy chewers and puppies too. We wouldn't recommend them for power chewers as the core of the large antler is already exposed and therefore won't last as long.

But for dog's that are elderly or just plain lazy the quick satisfaction of getting at the tasty inner marrow will be enough to peak their interest and persuade them to chew the half antler! As the core of the antler is already exposed it makes them more accessible to dogs of all ages, including puppies and kinder to your dog's teeth and gums.

If you are wondering at this point, whether to purchase a large split or whole antler, ask you yourself the following question. Do you own a small or lazy dog that chews for short periods of time, then a split antler will satisfy your dogs needs. But if you have a larger dog such as German Shepherd, Labrador or Boxer that chews for long periods we would recommend you purchase a whole antler as they are tougher and longer lasting.

Alternatively if you are looking for a happy medium between a split and whole deer antler you could always purchase a large fallow antler instead, that are great value for money, softer to chew on than a whole antler and resemble a hand with fingers.

Our split antlers are 100% natural and sustainably sourced from Red and Fallow Deer antler from the Scottish Highlands and European deer herds. Deer antlers although more expensive than some dog chews, are free from additives and preservatives, are odour free and don't become slimy like other dog chews and treats.
